Who We Are

Brokamp — Brass Turned Parts Manufacturer Since 1946

The Rudolf Brokamp GmbH & Co. KG in Attendorn-Ennest, North Rhine-Westphalia, is a specialist manufacturer of precision brass turned parts for the electrical, electronics, automotive and fittings industries. With over 100 transfer and rotary transfer machines, around 70 employees and two-shift operation, we process approximately 1,500 tonnes of brass each year into precision components made to customer drawings.

Our production is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Approximately 40–50% of our production is exported to Europe, America and Asia. Our main production diameter range is 3 mm to 15 mm — manufactured economically on transfer machines for medium and large series.

Material Focus

Why Use Brass for Precision Turned Parts?

Brass is widely used for electrical connections, contact components and fittings. Copper-zinc alloys combine machinability, conductivity and economical production.

Machinability

CuZn39Pb3 is a free-machining brass used for efficient machining of precision components.

Electrical Conductivity

Copper alloys provide electrical and thermal conductivity for contact parts and connectors.

Corrosion Resistance

The suitability of a brass alloy depends on the medium and operating conditions. Material and finish are agreed based on your application.

Surface Finishes

Finishes such as nickel, zinc and tin plating are available through partner companies by agreement.

Dimensional Stability

Dimensional accuracy and stability are important for lasting, reliable connections.

Recycling

Brass is recyclable. Production scrap is collected by material type and returned to the metal cycle.

FAQ

Questions About Brass Turned Parts

Why is brass widely used for turned parts?+

Brass combines electrical conductivity, machinability, corrosion resistance and solderability. It has long been used for electrical contact and connection components.

Which brass alloys do you machine?+

Our product catalogue includes CuZn39Pb3, CuZn39Pb2, CuZn38Pb2 and CuZn36Pb3, as well as reduced-lead alloys such as CuZn42Pb≤0.1 and CuZn40Pb≤0.1. The material is agreed based on your drawing and application.

Which finishes are available for brass turned parts?+

We offer deburring and, by agreement, electroplating such as nickel, zinc and tin plating. Electroplating is carried out by partner companies; requirements and execution are agreed for your component.

Which quantities should I enquire about?+

We specialise in medium and large series. Tell us your batch size and annual requirement so that we can assess feasibility and economical production based on your drawing.

How long does delivery take?+

Lead times depend on geometry, tooling requirements, material and quantity. A project-specific delivery date is agreed in the quotation.

Which tolerances and accuracy can be achieved?+

Dimensions, tolerances and inspection requirements are agreed based on your drawing. Our quality assurance supports production with a CAQ system and agreed quality documentation.

Are reduced-lead brass alloys available?+

Our product catalogue includes CuZn42Pb≤0.1 and CuZn40Pb≤0.1. Please specify the required alloy and application requirements. This does not constitute blanket approval for drinking-water or food-contact applications.

Do you provide initial samples and inspection reports?+

Yes. Initial sampling and customer approval are part of our manufacturing process. Required inspection reports and documentation are agreed with you in advance.
